a lot to say about this one. first of all, i'm super proud of myself! my mom's friend got this bottle when we were eating at Mimi's, and i instantly was like, "Eiffel Tower", to which they responded with dubious looks. HAHA! TEEN REBELIOUSNESS PREVAILS!

ahem, moving on...

if you were to look up a picture of the eiffel tower, you'd see that it is, of course, gray, and at the major horizontal sections, it's more of a balcony. since i wanted to use only black, i made the supports and the shadow under the lip of the balcony negative, AKA scratched out paint.

also, you'd see that the majority of the eiffel tower is made up of X-shaped sections. these sections are two lines. each line is two beams with little beams connecting them. in photos, these effectively look like blurry X's. i achieved this effect by overlapping an X and a cross, and putting one or two dots on each of the little "beams".

because this bottle is mostly clear, it was a PAIN in the ass to photograph. my mother helped me out here, spending at least twenty minutes stuffing yellow tissues paper into it, then another ten trying to get it to puff out and fill the bottle. i'm happy the background wasn't too white or wrinkled, for once!

(oh, and, in case you're wondering or critical, the bottle is easy to see irl, it's just that putting it into a flat picture with all the detail, does not present well.)
